About Marangu Route
Known as the "Coca-Cola Route," Marangu is the oldest and one of the most iconic trails on Kilimanjaro. It traces the path of Hans Meyer's first successful ascent in 1889.
The route passes through all major climate zones of the mountain and is the only trail offering dormitory-style huts, making it ideal during the rainy seasons (mid-March to May, and late October to December).
